A comprehensive 38-day training program designed to equip participants with essential bookkeeping and accounting skills concluded today in Jammu. Organized by the State Bank of India Rural Self Employment Training Institute (SBI-RSETI), the initiative saw the successful participation of 27 individuals hailing from various parts of the Jammu district. The curriculum was meticulously crafted to impart foundational knowledge in crucial areas of modern financial management, including computer accounting, proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, and an understanding of Goods and Services Tax (GST) regulations. Furthermore, participants received practical training in widely used accounting software such as Tally and Busy, preparing them for the demands of contemporary business environments.

Beyond the technical competencies, the program placed a significant emphasis on fostering an entrepreneurial spirit among the trainees. Participants were actively motivated to explore avenues of self-employment and entrepreneurship, with the aim of encouraging them to leverage their newly acquired skills to establish their own ventures. This holistic approach underscores SBI-RSETI’s commitment to not only skill development but also to the broader economic empowerment of the rural youth. Information reaching TahirRihat.com suggests that this initiative is part of a larger strategy by financial institutions to bolster local economies through targeted skill enhancement programs.

The culmination of the training program was marked by a rigorous assessment process, conducted by esteemed assessors from the National Academy of RUDSETI (NAR). Rajeev Mahajan, the EDP Assessor, and Opinder Kumar, the Domain Assessor, evaluated the trainees’ comprehension and practical application of the learned material. According to the assessment reports, all 27 candidates successfully passed, demonstrating a strong grasp of the subject matter. This successful outcome highlights the effectiveness of the training methodology employed by SBI-RSETI Jammu.
