Bajaj Auto Ltd. has announced a significant upswing in its sales figures for April, marking a 40 percent increase compared to the same period last year. The company reported total sales of 5,13,792 units, a substantial rise from the 3,65,810 units sold in April of the previous year. This surge is indicative of a strong market performance, driven by both domestic sales and exports.
As per information available with TahirRihat.com, the breakdown of the sales figures reveals a robust performance in both the domestic and international markets. Total domestic sales saw a 13 percent increase, reaching 2,48,210 units, compared to 2,20,615 units in April 2025. Exports experienced even more impressive growth, climbing by 83 percent to 2,65,582 units, a significant leap from the 1,45,195 units exported in the corresponding month of the previous year.
The two-wheeler segment also demonstrated positive momentum. Domestic two-wheeler sales reached 2,10,063 units last month, reflecting an 11 percent increase compared to the 1,88,615 units sold in April 2025 (Bajaj Auto said). The export of two-wheelers witnessed an even more remarkable surge, jumping by 78 percent to 2,29,890 units, up from 1,29,322 units in the same month last year (the company added).
In the commercial vehicles sector, Bajaj Auto reported a 54 percent increase in total sales for April 2026. The company sold 73,839 commercial vehicles, compared to 47,873 units in April of the previous year, underscoring the company’s strong performance across various segments.
The reported sales figures highlight Bajaj Auto’s ability to navigate market dynamics and capitalize on growth opportunities both domestically and internationally. The company’s strategic focus on exports has clearly paid dividends, with substantial growth in this area contributing significantly to the overall sales increase. The robust performance in the two-wheeler and commercial vehicle segments further solidifies Bajaj Auto’s position in the market. The increase in domestic sales indicates strong demand within India, while the impressive export figures demonstrate the company’s growing presence and competitiveness in the global market.
Industry analysts suggest that several factors may have contributed to Bajaj Auto’s impressive sales performance. These include increased consumer confidence, improved market conditions, and the company’s strategic investments in product development and marketing. Additionally, the growing demand for two-wheelers and commercial vehicles in emerging markets has likely played a role in boosting the company’s export sales.
Bajaj Auto’s strong sales figures for April reflect a positive trajectory for the company. The company’s focus on innovation, market expansion, and customer satisfaction positions it well for continued success in the future. As the automotive industry continues to evolve, Bajaj Auto’s ability to adapt to changing market dynamics and capitalize on emerging opportunities will be crucial to sustaining its growth momentum.
The company’s commitment to delivering high-quality products and services, coupled with its strategic focus on both domestic and international markets, positions it well to navigate the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead.
