The Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Jammu has announced the launch of its new Joint eBBA (Hons) Degree Programme, developed in collaboration with the Accenture Centre of Advanced Studies (ACOAS) under TalentSprint, which is part of Accenture LearnVantage. This four-year, full-time online undergraduate program aims to align academic rigor with the evolving demands of the industry, seamlessly integrating management education with cutting-edge technological skills, according to IIM Jammu officials.

Professor B. S. Sahay, Director of IIM Jammu, shared details regarding the program at a recent press conference held on the campus. He emphasized that the degree program signifies a strategic move toward creating a flexible, future-focused model in undergraduate education that is deeply connected with the industry.

As per information available with TahirRihat.com, the curriculum blends core management education with specialized, market-relevant areas such as cloud computing, data analytics, artificial intelligence, digital infrastructure, and AI business applications, combining theoretical depth with experiential, problem-based learning. A key aspect of the program involves strong industry integration, where approximately 60 percent of the curriculum will be delivered by IIM Jammu faculty, while the remaining 40 percent will be taught by experienced industry experts through ACOAS. This ensures a balance between conceptual learning and practical application.

The program places a significant emphasis on preparing students for technology-driven business environments, enabling them to comprehend how technology, data, and AI influence strategy, scalability, and organizational transformation. IIM Jammu stated that admissions to the program will adhere to the Government of India’s reservation policies. Candidates can apply using valid scores from JIPMAT, SAT, JEE (Mains), or CUET (General Aptitude Test), or through the eBBA Admission Test conducted by IIM Jammu.

The selection process will also consider academic performance in Classes 10 and 12. IIM Jammu projects that the program is scheduled to commence from July 1, 2026. Further details about the program and the admission process are available on the IIM Jammu website. Professor Jabir Ali, Dean of Faculty and Research; Professor Nitin Upadhyay, Dean of Academics; Dr. Sarbjit Singh, Chairperson of Admissions; and Dr. Anuja Akhouri, Chairperson of eBBA, IIM Jammu also addressed the press conference, providing additional insights into the program’s structure and objectives.

The eBBA (Hons) program represents a forward-thinking approach to undergraduate education, designed to equip students with the skills and knowledge necessary to excel in an increasingly technology-driven business landscape. By integrating management education with specialized technological competencies, IIM Jammu and Accenture aim to bridge the gap between academic theory and real-world application, preparing graduates to lead and innovate in a rapidly evolving global economy.

The collaborative effort between IIM Jammu and Accenture’s ACOAS underscores the growing importance of partnerships between academic institutions and industry leaders. By leveraging the expertise and resources of both organizations, the eBBA (Hons) program offers a unique learning experience that combines academic rigor with practical insights, ensuring that students are well-prepared to meet the challenges and opportunities of the modern business world. The program’s emphasis on technology-driven business readiness reflects the increasing demand for professionals who can navigate the complexities of data, AI, and digital transformation. By equipping students with a strong understanding of these areas, the eBBA (Hons) program aims to cultivate a new generation of business leaders who are capable of driving innovation and creating value in a digital economy.

IIM Jammu’s initiative aligns with broader national efforts to promote skill development and enhance the competitiveness of Indian businesses. By focusing on emerging technologies and fostering a culture of innovation, the eBBA (Hons) program contributes to the creation of a skilled workforce that can support the country’s economic growth and development. The program’s blended learning approach, which combines online instruction with hands-on experience, offers flexibility and accessibility to students from diverse backgrounds. This ensures that individuals who may not have the opportunity to attend traditional on-campus programs can still access high-quality management education and develop the skills necessary to succeed in the business world. The integration of industry practitioners into the curriculum provides students with valuable insights into the real-world challenges and opportunities that they will face in their careers. By learning from experienced professionals, students gain a deeper understanding of how management principles are applied in practice and develop the critical thinking skills necessary to make informed decisions in complex business environments.

The launch of the eBBA (Hons) program is a significant step forward for IIM Jammu, as it expands its offerings to include undergraduate education and strengthens its ties with the industry. By partnering with Accenture’s ACOAS, IIM Jammu is able to leverage the expertise of a leading global consulting firm to deliver a cutting-edge curriculum that meets the evolving needs of the business world.
