The decision to develop Lakhanpur as a street food hub was made by the Government of India, which selected the town among 50 locations nationwide for this purpose under the PM SVANidhi initiative. The hub, spread over an area of 1,754.25 square meters, is designed to offer modern vending infrastructure.
