Television personality Hina Khan recently visited the Army Goodwill School in Boniyar, located in the Uri sector of Baramulla district, Jammu and Kashmir. During her visit, Khan engaged with students and faculty, emphasizing the importance of unwavering focus on their aspirations. The actor, widely recognized for her roles in popular television serials such as “Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai” and “Kasautii Zindagii Kay,” shared her positive impressions of the school and its students.
Khan, who herself hails from Srinagar, expressed her delight at the experience, stating, “I felt really wonderful coming here, meeting the students, and seeing their confidence levels.” Information reaching Tahir Rihat suggests that the actor was particularly impressed by the students’ self-assurance and intellectual capabilities. She noted that many students at the school have successfully qualified for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET), a significant achievement that underscores the quality of education provided.
The actor observed that the students demonstrated a remarkable clarity regarding their future goals. “They are very clear about what they want in life: some want to pursue engineering, while others want to become doctors but they know what they want,” Khan remarked, commending the supportive environment fostered by the school and its educators. She highlighted the subsidized nature of the educational offerings, attributing the establishment of such institutions in remote areas to the efforts of the defense forces. Khan also suggested that similar initiatives could be beneficial in main city areas to ensure broader access to quality education.
During her interaction, Hina Khan encouraged the students to nurture their ambitions and persevere through challenges. “We must keep that desire alive. I know it is a bit tough and hard, we have gone through it, they are going through it, and all the youth go through it. But after these hardships, when you eventually reap the rewards, you will be very happy,” she advised. Her words resonated with the students and teachers, who expressed their gratitude for her visit and the positive impact it had on their morale. Riva, a student from Class 10, described the experience as an honor and a significant boost for the school community. “Having a public figure like Hina Khan was absolutely a huge boost for our school community,” Riva stated.
Another student, Umra Ali, echoed these sentiments, calling Khan’s presence a privilege and an inspiring occasion. “Her interaction brought incredible energy to our students as well as to our campus. It makes the students think beyond imagination, believing that we can achieve a lot in our lives,” Umra Ali commented. She further added that seeing a fellow Kashmiri like Hina Khan achieve such success was particularly motivating.
