A 28-year-old tourist hailing from Jammu has tragically lost his life after being swept away by a sudden and powerful surge in a mountain stream near Manali, Himachal Pradesh. The incident occurred on Saturday as the group he was leading was returning from a trekking expedition. The deceased has been identified as Dhananjay Verma, a resident of Udhampur in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir. After completing the post-mortem examination and other legal procedures, it will be handed over to the family,” Sharma informed reporters.
