Dr. Devansh Yadav, Commissioner of the Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC), conducted an inspection on Wednesday to review the progress of a modern food zone being established in Gandhi Nagar. During his visit, he engaged with vendors who have been allocated newly constructed food carts as part of this significant urban development initiative. This project is a key component of the JMC’s broader strategy to enhance the cityscape of Jammu, improve its urban infrastructure, and provide street vendors with a cleaner, more organized, and dignified environment for their businesses. The site, which previously housed a rehri zone developed by the JMC, is undergoing a comprehensive transformation into a modern food hub under the direct supervision of the Commissioner.
